Land Rover has churned out another special edition of its Range Rover Sport SV, called simply the Carbon. Like the name suggests, it is awash with CFP trim details and can weigh up to 76 kilograms (168 pounds) less than stock depending on your chosen options.
Prices in the UK start from £165,045, making the limited edition roughly £25,000 more expensive than the standard Range Rover Sport SV.
The SUV wears a fairly modest-looking body kit alongside a few extra carbon accents, including on the hood and around the tailpipes. It rides on 23-inch forged wheels that you can also order trimmed with carbon fiber. Carbon-ceramic brakes are also available, and customers are choosing from four available finishes for the exterior and the brake calipers. Inside, the same material can be seen on the tunnel, the door panels, the front seat backs and the dash.
Same as the regular SV, the Carbon outputs 635 PS (626 hp / 467 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque from its 4.4-liter V8. Lower weight might give it a slight acceleration advantage, but Land Rover doesn’t mention it. The base car hits 96.6 km/h (60 mph) in 3.6 seconds and can attain a top speed of 290 km/h (180 mph).
