Lexus IS 500 waves Japan goodbye

Lexus is concluding the production of its IS 500 sedan in Japan with a final batch called Climax Edition.

It is largely identical to the Ultimate Edition for the United States, which was announced in May. Only 500 units will be made, each equipped with a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 and rear-wheel drive. The output amounts to 479 PS (472 hp / 352 kW) and 536 Nm (395 lb-ft) of torque.

Prices in Japan start from ¥9.5 million.
