Car Tuning

PSI works its tuner magic on the BMW M2 Competition

The BMW M2 Competition has much going for it. Among other things, it inherits many features of the legendary M3 CSL and shares the drivetrain with its senior siblings, the M3 and M4. The list can go on and on, but there are certain minor drawbacks, too. For instance, its engine lacks the powerful sound many car aficionados crave – all the more so with the latest particle filter installed. What to do?

Many tuners, like Precision Sport Industries (PSI), which released an upgrade for the sports car earlier today, know the answer. Once a new VRSF downpipe and an ECU remap are installed, the vehicle gains in power as well as in timbre.

The tuner does not say just how many horsepower to expect from the upgraded BMW M2 Competition, but 500+ hp / 375+ kW is pretty much guaranteed.

Along with the boost, the car gains carbon side skirt extensions, a rear spoiler lip and an aggressively styled diffusor. It also takes advantage of a BC Racing suspension lowering kit and a set of 19-inch BC Forged RS41 rims finished in matte bronze.

PSI did not make the prices publicly available.
