The Acura TLX PMC Edition is a manually assembled car series

Car manufacturers offer all sorts of special editions these days. Most of these only go as far as to offer a few visual tweaks along with some premium tech options. But how does one exceed the expectations with a limited series? Acura seems to know the answer: the company will arrive at the 2019 New York Auto Show with a PMC Edition car it assembled manually at its Performance Manufacturing Center factory.

The show car is called the Acura TLX PMC Edition, and it uses the 4WD A-Spec platform loaded with a six-cylinder engine and lots of options. It sports a Valencia Red Pearl enamel paint with a special nano-pigment added to it for an extra bit of color depth. Allegedly, the entire painting process takes no less than five days.

Contrasting against the red body are the black roof, radiator grille, door handles, and 19-inch wheels.

The cabin houses an original steering wheel wrapped in perforated leather and Alcantara-clad seats.

The Acura TLX PMC Edition will consist of 360 copies. The preliminary price is U.S. $50,000.
