Arkonik rolls out a Defender themed after Khal Drogo, GoT

There are numerous car customization shops out there who are happily pushing out one custom Land Rover Defender after another, and this makes it easy to believe that the elderly SUV will always have a special place in tuners’ hearts. But for now, let us look at yet another wild Defender mod, built by Arkonik this time around.

The team started with a 1993 Land Rover Defender D110, a huge nine-seat off-roader. During the extensive upgrade, it gained a new radiator grille, auxiliary lighting, a winch and a snorkel for conquering water obstacles.

The tuner has re-trimmed the seats with fine leather and made the front ones heated. The car may still give off that retro vibe, but there are now a touchscreen display and a backup camera inside it diluting that feeling.

The tech is perhaps the most interesting part of the build, though. The Drogo by Arkonik features Terrafirma suspension that comes with a 50 mm (2-inch) lift and improved steering damper. It rides on 19-inch Kahn Design wheels clad in hardcore off-road rubber. The engine and the transmission have likewise been completely overhauled, but the firm provided us with no details on that.

You can order your own Drogo for around $190,000 in the USA, and the tuner hasn’t mentioned just how many units it wanted to produce, so there is still time to place an order.
