SAR tuner gives a Mercedes S65L AMG the full Brabus treatment

The L (long wheelbase) version of the Mercedes S65 AMG is a rare, if not to say extinct species of its kind. At the latest auto show in Geneva, the manufacturer said it would release a limited S 65 Final Edition that will still take advantage of its famous 6.0-liter V12 engine. Later on, the company plans a permanent switch to more fuel-efficient and environment-friendly engines.

However, the SAR-based car tuner RACE! South Africa is positive that it is too early to discount the good old Mercedes S65L AMG. The copy you can see on the photos here received the full carbon body kit from Brabus, which covers new front and rear aprons, a front spoiler with side flaps, side mirror caps, a small spoiler lip, a rear diffuser housing four stainless-steel tailpipes, and Brabus emblems instead of the Mercedes stars.

The tuner also installed a Brabus performance exhaust system along with a set of Brabus Monoblock Y 21” rims. It then lowered the stock air suspension somewhat to make sure that the new wheels look perfect in their arches.

It might seem at first that the four-door vehicle has a carbon roof, but the tuner says it is really just a faux-carbon wrap.

It would be logical to assume that this RACE! South Africa client wanted his/her ride upgraded with the entire range of Brabus options, including the fine leather/carbon interior makeover and the 800hp / 600kW engine boost. Regrettably, we do not know whether it received either of the above.
