James Bond's DB5 hits mass production

Aston Martin has launched small-batch production of its reimagined DB5 sports car. The vehicle was notably featured in the Goldfinger movie that came out 55 years ago, as well as six other James Bond movies.

Cinema company EON Productions took part in designing the modern version of the car, equipping it with several spy gadget replicas you may know from the movies. These include the dual miniguns, the tilting number plates, the bulletproof rear window, and the smoke screen.

Aston Martin intends to release twenty-five 007-themed DB5s using its factory in in Newport Pagnell, England, each priced at £2,750,000. The first vehicles will reach their owners next year at the earliest.

The luxury carmaker will then proceed to build three more cars of the same model. The first one will remain the property of McLaren Automotive, the second will be handed over to EON Productions, and the third will go under the hammer.
