Koenigsegg Jesko gets a special edition

Premium Automotive Concept Esser (PACE), a Germany-based authorized dealer of Koenigsegg and Rimac hypercars, has launched a special version of the company’s latest model Koenigsegg Jesko, called the Cherry Red Edition10. The number 10 refers to PACE’s tenth anniversary.

The luxury carmaker said it was only going to produce a total of 125 Jesko vehicles, never mentioning whether the special edition was included in this number. Likely not, since the entire series was sold out even before the production began. Our guess is that PACE might have acquired several cars for itself with the view of offering a special edition to its clients. Whatever the case, there has been no official comment so far.

The Koenigsegg Jesko Cherry Red Edition10 comes equipped with the same five-liter twin-turbo V8 engine as the main series. Powered by E85-grade fuel, it sends 1,600 horsepower (1,193 kilowatts) to the wheels via a nine-speed, seven-clutch transmission. Koenigsegg does not reveal just how fast the regular Jesko sprints from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour (62 mph), but it does mention that its top going speed amounts to an impressive 483 km/h (300 mph). The vehicle benefits from 1,400 kilograms (3,100 lbs) of additional downforce at near-maximum speeds.

As far as the looks are concerned, the Cherry Red version sports unique carbon trim elements and rides on carbon-fiber wheels wraoped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires.

The asking price amounts to €2,350,000 before any taxes or options.
