Performance Technic endows the BMW M2 Competition with new wheels and suspension

The BMW M2 Competition (F87N M2C) rightfully counts among the most popular M’s on the lineup. The reason isn’t just the price, but also the fact that the more advanced M models are simultaneously bulkier and heavier than their entry-level siblings. As a result, the M2 feels just right for the racetrack.

U.S.-based tuner Performance Technic has just rolled out another custom M2, this time a commission job from a long-standing client who likes an occasional race. The team began by swapping the standard M Suspension parts out for Öhlins R&T racing-grade coilovers featuring adjustable travel distance and compression ratio. The kit cost no less than a hefty $3,500, but gave the vehicle new looks along with improved cornering performance.

The stock wheels were ditched in favor of ultralight BBS FI-R 19” rims, and the exhaust system was replaced with an Akrapovic Slip On Line one made of titanium and decorated with carbon exhaust tips. The weight savings amounted to an impressive 45 percent.

This is one good BMW M2 Competition (F87N M2C), don’t you think?
