Hyundai Creta N Line gets a halfway hot version in India

Hyundai is getting ready to release a sported-up Creta N Line CUV in India, Autocar India reports posting a gallery of spy shots apparently made during an official ad shoot. The news article points out that the N-Line spec may only go on sale with the top-end powertrain, but it might also get a manual gearbox option.

The images show the Creta wearing sportier-looking bumpers with enlarged air intakes, red accents all around and 18-inch wheels. A new steering wheel and a different gear selector seem to be the main interior additions. The trim is black with sparse color accents.

Autocar India believes that the N Line spec should ship in India with the most powerful engine available for the Creta on that market – the 1.5-liter mill that Hyundai introduced with the facelift. It pumps out 160 PS (158 hp / 118 kW) and 253 Nm (187 lb-ft) of torque. In its standard specification, this engine comes mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, but Hyundai may offer manual as an alternative. Improved suspension and steering are expected, too.

The launch date is still unannounced. The normal Creta (see video) costs 11–21 Rs Lakh in the country.
