Hozon Neta L revealed inside and out

Chinese EV manufacturer Hozon Auto is preparing a new mid-size crossover SUV for launch on the domestic market. It is called the Neta L and has already been previewed in patent shots last December, but this is the first time we are seeing actual photos of its body and cabin allegedly made during a private event, Car News China reports.

The Neta L is rumored to be the company’s response to the Tesla Model Y and the BYD Song Plus (a.k.a. Seal U). It is 4,770 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1,660 mm tall with 2,810 mm between the axles. Buyers can choose between 18-inch and 19-inch wheels.

Thanks to these new shots, we can now see that the interior is designed like a living room –with folding tables for the rear seat occupants hidden in the front seat backs and other comfort features like that.

When it ships, the Netal L will be available as a range-extender hybrid rated at 231 PS (228 hp / 170 kW). A 1.5-liter, 91-PS (90-hp / 67-kW) Dongfeng engine will generate power for the battery in this hybrid setup. Speaking of the battery, it features a lithium-iron-phosphate design and comes from SVOLT, a Great Wall subsidiary.

Hozon Auto (see video) is still a lesser-known car brand outside of China, but it already has a factory running in Thailand and branch offices in multiple Southeastern Asian countries.
