52-year-old Chevy K5 Blazer can be yours for eye-watering $361k

Velocity Modern Classics has put up for sale another flawlessly restored classic, a 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer with its body, cabin, chassis and powertrain thoroughly redone. The question is, is it worth the $360,900 asking price?

The exterior styling was kept close to stock with all the chrome bits still in place and a fresh black paint job. Power running boards, 18-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights still give away the fact that it’s a restomod. A new cloth top goes over a five-point safety cage. 35-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires should ensure adequate off-road performance if the owner ever decides to actually drive this museum-worthy piece of automotive equipment.

The interior is treated in line with the tuner’s Signature Series program. Additions include an exclusive digital dashboard, a Vintage Air HVAC, power windows and a modern audio system with a subwoofer. The radio on board supports Bluetooth connections, and the glass dome all around is thicker and better padded for less noise.

A peek under the hood reveals a new 6.2-liter naturally aspirated LT1 V8. A ten-speed automatic transmission carries the torque to a Dana 44 axle at the front and a Dana 60 at the rear. The suspension and the brakes are also all-new, and the whole chassis is a custom design by the famous Roadster Shop, explaining the steep asking price.
