Citroen ushers in the new C3 Aircross for Europe

The French carmaker has expanded its C3 lineup with a new Aircross SUV targeting the Old Continent. It is larger than the previous generation and offers three seat rows instead of two. Sales will start later this year, but the date is still unannounced.

The new C3 Aircross is based on the CMP unibody platform. This makes it closely related to many Stellantis Group crossovers. At the same time, it sports its own exterior design inspired by the recently unveiled C3 hatchback, as well as the Aircross models for India and South America.

There are still no interior shots, but the company assures us that 4,390 mm (171.5 inches) is enough car length to put three seat rows inside. Upright c-pillars and a tall roofline should ensure adequate headroom for the rear seat occupants.

All technical specifications remain to be revealed.
