Chinese Audi Q6 e-tron becomes longer, lasts longer

The updated Audi Q6 e-tron for the PRC market has just premiered at Auto China. It’s 105 mm (4.1 inches) longer than its European counterpart and packs a larger 107-kWh battery rated for 700 km (435 miles) per charge.

Owners will be able to replenish the charge from 10 to 80% in just 25 minutes thanks to 270kW charging support, the company says.

The entry-level car has one e-motor at the rear axle making 347 PS (342 hp / 255 kW). The more expensive AWD version commands 469 PS (463 hp / 345 kW) from two motors. The interior remains to be revealed.

Audi warns that the Q6 e-tron it showed at Auto China is still technically a pre-production vehicle. The final version will debut in the last quarter of the year, and the first shipments will not be made until 2025. The production will take place at the Audi factory in the city of Changchun.
