Electric Xiaomi SU7 Max shows off its drift chops

Xiaomi has shared an impressive video advertising one of the drive modes available for its SU7 electric sedan. Company CEO Lei Jun, who posted the vid on the social media, said you only needed to push two buttons to start drifting.

The Drift Mode is only available in the Max version of the car, which uses two e-motors jointly rated at 673 PS (664 hp / 495 kW) and 838 Nm (618 lb-ft) of torque. Once activated, the preset redirects the entire torque to the rear end, essentially turning the EV into a muscle car of sorts, Lei Jun explains.

Before you engage the Drift Mode, it is important to turn off traction control and ESP first. Once done, you can perform power slides just like in the video.

The range-topping SU7 can accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.78 seconds and has 810 km (503 miles) of range on its domestic market of China.
