Audi Q5 e-hybrid arrives in Germany

The third-generation Audi Q5 is now available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain in Europe. Prices on the domestic market start from €63,400.

The SUV makes use of the same hardware as the new A5 lineup. It consists of a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a single electric motor built into an S tronic seven-speed DCT. You can choose between 299 and 367 metric horsepower (295 and 362 hp; 220 and 270 kW), but the difference between these two versions of the Q5 mainly comes from factory ECU settings.

The battery pack lies under the trunk floor and provides 20.7 kWh of useful capacity (25.9 kWh nominal capacity).

Preorders are already running in Germany.
