Lexus LC 500 spins off yet another special for Japan

The V8-engined Lexus LC 500 can’t seem to get enough special editions in Japan – in fact, both the coupe and the convertible just got another one. It’s going to be the last LC released before the production ends, so enter a draw if you want one.

It’s called Pinnacle and comes equipped with a new body kit, as well as some suspension upgrades and unique trim bits. There is a special front bumper with canards at the sides, exclusive exterior finish options and a fixed rear wing. The latter option is even available for the soft-top LC, which is a first.

Buyers also enjoy access to new interior trim schemes, such as white with either black or brown accents. The company briefly mentions upgraded rear suspension, but doesn’t elaborate what exactly was reworked. It also claims that overall body rigidity has been improved across the range, hybrids included.

Only 100 coupes and just as many convertibles will be produced. As mentioned above, you’ll have to enter a lottery for a chance to buy one. Even so, Toyota reserves 50% of the production batch for existing customers (i.e., confirmed Lexus vehicle owners). Prices start from ¥17.8 million, which is a fair bit above the standard version that you can get for ¥14.1 million with the same V8 under the hood.
