Cadillac Optiq bows in China with up to 600 km of range

Cadillac has unveiled the technical specification of its Optiq SUV EV for China. The longest-range version will offer 600 km (373 miles) of range on a charge, while the most powerful one will sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in under six seconds.

In its most basic spec, the car has a single motor at the front axle driving it with 245 PS (242 hp / 180 kW) and 330 Nm (243 lb-ft) of torque. It reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in seven seconds flat and maxes out at 180 km/h (112 mph). A 68.4-kWh battery pack on board gives it up to 536 km (333 miles) of CLTC-rated range.

The middle-ground spec ups the battery size to 79.7 kWh and the range to the 600 km mentioned above. There are no other major differences.

The top spec utilizes twin motors to drive all four wheels with a combined 287 PS (283 hp / 211 kW) and 465 Nm (343 lb-ft) of torque. The range isn’t specified, but Cadillac says charging this version from 20 to 80 percent will only take 33 minutes given a sufficiently powerful charging outlet.

Trim-wise, the Optiq gets a two-zone climate control, ventilated seats, a wireless charger and ambient lighting with 126 selectable colors. The infotainment system is particularly impressive, boasting a 33-inch curved display and a set of AKG premium audio speakers.

The SUV is 4,822 mm (188.4 inches) long with 2,954 mm (115.4 inches) between the axles. Pre-orders are already running with the prices starting at 239,700 Yuan.
