German tuner gives Mengshi M-Hero some attention

Famous German tuning company Lorinser has attended the Beijing Auto Expo with a new project titled “M800”. It uses the Mengshi M-Hero super-SUV produced by Dongfeng as a starting point (see video).

Starting with the exterior, the tuner encases it in a part-carbon body kit that includes bumpers, a hood cover, fender flares and a top trim that Lorinser calls a “floating roof”. A sizable upper rear spoiler and custom forged wheels round off the main exterior modifications.

Inside, the seats are new and redesigned by Lorinser for the utmost comfort. Aside from being wrapped in expensive leather and coming with all kinds of power adjustments, they offer ventilation and massage features. Leg support cushions are also included. Noise proofing is enhanced all around, and the ceiling sports a “starry sky” LED headliner.

The company stays silent about the powertrain, prompting the assumption that it remains stock. In China, the Mengshi M-Hero is available in two flavors: as an EV packing 1,088 PS (1,073 hp / 800 kW) and as a hybrid rated at 816 PS (805 hp / 600 kW).
