Cadillac Escalade IQ gets an “L” version for an extra $3k

Cadillac has unveiled a stretched variant of its electric Escalade SUV. It’s called the IQL and is just 107 mm (4.18 inches) longer than standard.

The production is set to start in mid-year. Prices will start from $132,695 before taxes, barely $3,000 above the price of the standard IQ model.

The IQL retains the same 3,460 mm (135.16-inch) wheelbase but gains a longer rear overhang. Cadillac points out that it still wasn’t simple: the body had to be redesigned from the b-pillars onwards. As a result, third row occupants now enjoy 112 mm (4.38 inches) of extra legroom and 25 mm (1 inch) of headspace.

Not only this, but the trunk size goes up from 3,375 to 3,546 liters (from 119.2 to 125.2 cubic feet). The frunk stays unchanged at 345 liters (12.18 cu. ft.).

Like its standard counterpart, the new Cadillac Escalade IQL uses a dual-motor electric powertrain with 760 PS (750 hp / 559 kW) and 1,063 Nm (784 lb-ft) of torque going to the wheels. However, both models receive an updated battery pack for 2025, which is now rated at 205 kWh of useful capacity instead of 200. The old IQ could cover 724 km (450 miles) on a charge, while the new IQL can do 740 km (460 miles).

Sprinting from 0 to 96.6 km/h (0-60 mph) takes 4.7 seconds.
