Kia is introducing a series of small updates for the 2027 EV9, alongside minor price adjustments. The EV9 was the first mainstream three-row electric SUV to enter the market for the 2024 model year. These updates aim to maintain its competitiveness as new electric SUVs from other manufacturers are anticipated to launch.
The rear-wheel-drive 2027 EV9 Light Short Range will start at $56,635, a $90 increase from the 2026 model. The Light Long Range, also rear-wheel drive but with a larger 100-kWh battery, will also see a $90 increase, starting at $59,635. The EV9 Wind will have a $190 price increase, starting at $65,735, and will feature new black 19-inch wheels, gloss-black exterior trim, and the option for Wolf Gray exterior paint.
The EV9 Land trim will receive the most significant changes and the largest price increase, starting at $71,635, a $1090 jump. However, the Nightfall Edition's upgrades, including gloss-black 20-inch wheels, exterior trim, and a blacked-out interior, will now be standard on the Land. This means the 2027 EV9 Land will be $410 less than the 2026 Land Nightfall Edition. The torque-boost function, which temporarily increases torque from 443 to 516 pound-feet, will also become standard on the Land trim.
The GT-Line model remains the top trim, starting at $73,635, a $90 increase, with no other changes for 2027. Kia has not specified the exact dealership arrival date for the 2027 EV9.
