Lucid CEO makes another bold claim regarding Air EV range

The Lucid Air Pure EV refreshed last month had an impressive power efficiency of 8 kilometers (5 miles) per kilowatt of energy, but it might be on track to even better range figures.

While presenting the car back in July, Lucid CEO Peter Rawlinson said his creation had turned out to be the most power-efficient car in all of history. He has now come out with another bold statement, saying that Tesla won’t be able to attain similar power efficiency until 2032. That’s a highly ambitious statement to make given the rapidly developing EV market, but one that may help Lucid attract a bigger customer base that would otherwise be swayed by Tesla.
