2nd-gen VW Teramont “Pro” crops up online

The Ministry of Industry of China has released patent images of the second-generation Volkswagen Teramont that the company chose to give a “Pro” suffix.

The Pro version of the SUV seen here resembles the automaker’s recent electric car designs, but runs exclusively on petrol. The version shown here is called 450 TSI and utilizes a 2.0-liter TSI engine to drive all four wheels with 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW).

The patent specifications state that the car is 5,158 mm long, 1,991 mm wide and 1,788 mm tall with 2,980 mm of wheelbase. As such, it is 106 millimeters (4.1 inches) longer than the first generation, but otherwise almost unchanged.

The premiere isn’t expected until 2025.
