Manhart works its tuning magic on the new BMW M2

After designing a cool body kit for the latest BMW M2 in September, Manhart has now followed up with a full-fledged tuning program. Among other things, it boosts the engine by nearly 250 horsepower.

The package is called MH2 700 II and should already be available to order. Once installed, it drives the output of the stock 3.0-liter inline-six mill to 728 PS (718 hp / 535 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. The impressive figures are courtesy of a carbon-fiber air intake, a high-flow exhaust system with new downpipes and 200-cell catalysts, and an ECU remap.

Those looking for still more power are invited to contact Manhart for info on the tuner’s Stage II and III kits. How much power and torque they may yield is individual and depends on the priorities of the customer.

On the outside, you can instantly recognize the German tuner’s M2 by its carbon-fiber body kit on a black body with accents of dull gold. Included in the aero kit are a front apron, a front spoiler, side sill extensions, a rear diffuser and a rear wing. Champagne-colored Yido wheels sized 20” at the front and 21” at the back round off the stylish and sporty image.

The interior is no-nonsense as well and features a roll cage at the back row, Schroth safety harnesses and the tuner’s branded floor mats.
