JAS Tensei NSX Update Revealed

JAS Motorsport has released images of its updated NSX, named the Tensei. Pininfarina redesigned the original NSX with carbon fiber bodywork for this project. The Tensei aims to update the 1990s Honda NSX, retaining its original design elements such as pop-up lights and an integrated rear spoiler hoop.

The updated design features a wider track, giving the vehicle a more muscular appearance. LED lighting has been integrated into both the pop-up headlights and the rear. The new bodywork is entirely carbon fiber, contributing to a dry curb weight of 2,755 lbs (1,250 kg).

The Tensei's powertrain has been modified by Judd. The 3.0-liter V6 engine's capacity has been increased to 3.4 liters, resulting in 414 hp (420 PS) compared to the donor engine's 276 hp (280 PS). The engine's limiter is set at 8,500 rpm, an increase from 8,000 rpm. It comes exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission and a titanium shifter. The interior maintains the original car's basic architecture but includes a digital gauge cluster.

JAS plans to produce 35 units of the Tensei. The price is €880,000, or $985,000 USD, which does not include the cost of a donor vehicle.
