2027 Lexus TX Hybrid: Updates and Discontinued PHEV

The 2027 Lexus TX Hybrid, based on the Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid, aims for an upscale market. It offers seating for six passengers and a notable amount of cargo space. The TX Hybrid distinguishes itself with more premium interior materials and an updated version of Lexus’s spindle grille design.

The hybrid powertrain features a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine combined with two electric motors, delivering a total of 366 horsepower. A six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard. The TX Hybrid's fuel economy is considered average for its class.

For 2027, the TX550h+ plug-in hybrid variant has been discontinued, leaving the TX500h as the sole hybrid option. All TX Hybrids will now be offered exclusively in the F Sport trim. Other changes include minor cosmetic updates, such as the addition of Matador Red Mica exterior color and "AWD" badges replacing the previous "DIRECT4" badging.

Interior features include standard heated and ventilated front seating. TX Hybrids come with second-row captain's chairs, which are also heated and ventilated. The third row is noted as sufficient for children and pets, with legroom that surpasses the Volvo XC90.
