Tuning your Ferrari 360 Modena to be unrecognizable costs 5x original price

Switzerland-based niche automaker Sbarro came to the 2008 Geneva Motor Show with an extremely modded version of the Ferrari 360 Modena. The company only made three such ‘Alcador GTB’ cars, and one is now up for grabs in Germany.

There is barely anything left of the original sports car. The bodywork is all new with round headlight niches, butterfly-wing doors, and a chopped roof made nearly entirely of glass. The design resembles retro-futuristic design studies of the late 1980s and has precious little to do with Ferrari vehicles. It is perhaps up to you to decide whether to like or dislike it.

A transparent hood cover at the front end reveals what appears to be an unmodded 3.6-liter V8 still churning out its usual 400 PS (394 hp / 294 W) and 373 Nm (275 lb-ft) of torque. The cabin is also normal.

Not trying to diminish the amount of effort poured into the project, we would still like to point out that a reasonably used 360 Modena could be obtained for something like €70,000 in Europe. In stark contrast, this 2008 Sbarro Alcador GTB commands a cool  sticker of €395,000.
