Nissan announces Patrol Nismo

Nissan’s sports car division has confirmed that a performance version is coming for the large Patrol SUV.

It is currently unknown how different the Patrol Nismo will be from its standard counterpart. The regular SUV changed generations not long ago (see the gallery and the video below). It now relies on a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 to send 425 PS (419 hp / 313 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque to the ground. The old naturally aspirated 5.6-liter V8 with 406 PS (400 hp / 299 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque is no longer available.
