Arctic Trucks upgrades Land Cruiser 250 for all-around better driving

The off-road gurus over at Arctic Trucks have got their hands on the latest Toyota Land Cruiser 250, turning it into an even more capable overlanding vehicle without sacrificing any of its versatility.

The upgrade package is called AT37 and comprises 10 components, including all-new bumpers, fender flares, running boards and mudflaps. 17-inch forged wheels shod in 37-inch BFGoodrich tires and various suspension modifications lift the SUV by another 40 mm (1.6 inches). The company mentions new springs, dampers and coilovers.

The list of changes may sound straightforward at first, but Arctic Trucks says it actually had to redesign much of the car to fit the larger wheels. The frame, the wheel arches with their adjacent body panels and even the transmission all had to be modified in some way. The result is an LC 250 that has a significantly longer wheelbase and a wider wheel span compared to the stock version.

The trim inside is new as well, there is a custom transmission selector and AT badges on the scuff plates and the floor mats.

Sales are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of the year in all counties where Arctic Trucks is present.
