Manthey Racing Unveils Limited-Edition Race Cars

Manthey Racing has launched two limited-production race cars, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR 30 and the 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport MR 30. Only 15 examples of each model will be built. These vehicles will debut at the DTM finale at the Hockenheimring in Germany.

Porsche recently increased its stake in Manthey to 67 percent. This move is intended to expand Porsche's presence in the performance segment for both track and road vehicles, beyond its own GT models.

The 911 GT3 Cup MR 30, based on a 992.1 chassis, features a 4.2-liter water-cooled flat-six engine with an output of approximately 560 horsepower. Its performance is positioned between the 4.0-liter 911 GT3 Cup and the 911 GT3 R. The car also receives an updated aerodynamic and cooling package, which has been tested in customer racing. Additional carbon fiber components have been integrated, and the car's track has been widened. The 911 GT3 Cup MR 30 will be offered in the U.S. for $580,000, including import duties and freight.

The 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport MR 30 focuses on weight reduction, aerodynamics, and cooling. It incorporates carbon fiber fenders, lightweight headlights, and other components to reduce its overall weight. The car retains its 493-hp flat-six engine. Like the 911 GT3 Cup MR 30, the Cayman model uses a central radiator and upgraded brake cooling. This model is described as the final stage in the development of Manthey's Cayman-based race cars and is priced at $390,000.
