Manhart dials the heat up on the BMW XM

German tuner Manhart has unveiled the MHXM 900 II, a tuning kit for the part-electric BMW XM crossover. Aside from giving it an even more menacing look, the package makes it as fast as any supercar.

This isn’t to say that the stock SUV is a slouch with 748 PS (738 hp / 550 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal. However, installing and tuning Manhart’s MHTronik ECU lifts the output to the titular 900 PS (888 hp / 662 kW) and 1,200 Nm (885 lb-ft) of torque. We don’t know how much faster the tuned XM sprints, but it should be pretty damn fast.

A look at the exterior reveals a forged-carbon aero kit, new 24-inch forged wheels and an Akrapovic exhaust system with valve control. Racing-grade downpipes and catalyst deletion are listed as options, because they make the SUV not street-legal in many countries.

Manhart doesn’t often mess with car interiors, but this XM is a major exception. It gets a host of carbon trims for the steering wheel, the door panels, the dashboard and the center console.
