USA halts development of EV charging infrastructure

Donald Trump’s presidential administration has decided to pause all financing of NEVI, the nationwide program for the development of electric vehicle infrastructure.

The officials who inspected the program apparently found it too costly and inefficient. Once the cost and profitability issues are sorted out, the government plans to relaunch it.

No new state-funded charging stations and outlets will appear in the United States until new NEVI regulations have been formulated and approved.
