2027 Hyundai Tucson spotted testing

The current generation of the Hyundai Tucson hasn’t received any major updates since 2024, so it’s about time for a new generation. Thanks to these spy photos posted on Carscoops, we now know what the SUV will look like both on the outside and from the inside.

It’s already clear that the new Tucson adopts the boxier, edgier appearance of the latest Hyundai Santa Fe and Palisade. It also sports a less slanted, more level roofline. The headlights seem to be integrated in the front bumper with the DRLs sitting up above.

It may be a bit too early to make conclusions about the interior, but the two shots available so far reveal what looks like a new, mildly squared, three-spoke steering wheel. The digital dash screen seems small, but Nissan might offer a larger version in a premium trim. Feature-wise, we expect the company’s Pleos Connect multimedia system to be included in the base spec.

Rumor has it that the 2027 Hyundai Tucson is going to ship exclusively with hybrid powertrains – both mild and plug-in. The most powerful option is expected to output 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW) to the wheels.
