Post-facelift Jaguar XF comes out with new cabin, fewer engine options

Jaguar has unveiled the 2021 XF sedan line. The main highlights are the all-new interior and the trimmed-down engine range, while the exterior aesthetics stays virtually the same.

The radiator grille grew larger and now sports a hexagonal cell pattern. The side intakes also gain size, and while the headlamps retain their styling, they now pack LED lights inside. The daytime running lights are shaped like twin letters J.

The cabin is where most of the novelty takes place. Specifically, it now looks nearly identical to that of the Jaguar F-Pace: compare especially the digital dashboard, the curved infotainment display and the gear selector. The steering wheel stems from the I-Pace.

Other notable features include a climate control system capable of advanced air filtering and ionization, as well as the Pivi Pro infotainment unit that supports multitasking. For instance, you could download a software update while simultaneously listening to streamed music without interruptions.

As far as the powertrains are concerned, the 2021 Jaguar XF only ships with 2.0L Ingenium four-cylinders from now on. The gasoline options on offer churn out between 250 and 300 horsepower (186 – 224 kilowatts), while the diesel one produces 204 hp (152 kW). The transmission is eight-speed automatic in all cases.
