Lucid Motors CEO resigns amidst growing profits

Peter Rawlinson surprised us last weekend as he revealed that he was no longer the CEO of Lucid Motors.

Rawlinson joined the EV startup company none years ago as its Chief Technical Officer. He proceeded to rise to CEO in three years.

As he is now leaving the Lucid in another manager’s hands, the company is experiencing rapid growth. With 10,241 vehicles sold in 2024, it has improved its yearly sales by a whopping 71%. The company’s second production vehicle, the Gravity SUV, is also underway to the market with the assembly lines working since December 2024.

As Lucid is looking for a new CEO, Rawlinson is set to fill in the role of Strategic Technical Advisor at the company.
