BMW 2-Series facelift leaks via patent images
The exterior of the refreshed BMW 2, which the automaker touts as a “Gran Coupe” (see video), is no longer a mystery thanks to these leaked patent shots provided by Autoweek. It looks like the car gets to inherit most of its design from the relatively recent 1-Series refresh.
Note especially the radiator grille with diagonal parts similar to those on the 1- and the 3-Series. The headlamps have been thinned down and reworked to look more modern, and the door handles have been redesigned. The entire front end looks different, although we will leave it up to you to decide whether that’s for better or worse.
The full reveal is rumored to be scheduled for later this year.
