Volvo teases a rugged EX30

The all-electric Volvo EX30 will be getting a Cross Country version soon. Let’s take a look at the official images.

The demo vehicle has blackout trim all around, silver accents on both bumpers and side sills, and special edition badges on the front doors. It also wears an expedition rack on the roof with a spare wheel mounted on it. Volvo doesn’t specify whether it will be available as an OEM option.

All technical details are scarce at this point. The images show what looks like new wheels shod in high-profile tires, and the suspension seems lifted compared to stock. Even if these modifications aren’t just for show, they will likely be exclusive to the AWD version of the EX30. It churns out 428 PS (422 hp / 315 kW) along with 543 Nm (400 lb-ft) of torque and packs a 66-kWh battery rated up to 540 km (335 miles) of range.
