Polestar rolls out three EVs for North Pole racing
The Swedish car brand continues working on its Arctic Circle project that envisions releasing high-end EVs tuned specifically for ice racing.
The Arctic Circle collection kicked off with a Polestar 2 liftback modified three years ago. Last weekend, the company unveiled similarly tuned models 3 and 4. Both received sizable motor power upgrades along with robust Öhlins suspension setups. The ground clearance is 20–40 mm (0.8–1.6 inches) bigger than stock and is made useful thanks to strut braces, OZ Racing wheels shod in Pirelli winter tires, and Recaro seats in the cabin.
The project is supervised by Joakim Rydholm, Chief Suspension Engineer at Polestar. There is still no definite answer from the company as to whether any of these cars will go on sale in the future.
