Tuner HARTGE makes a comeback, specializes in Mercedes/Maybach from now on

Have you heard anything about car tuner shop Hartge? Herbert Hartge founded the company in early 1970s as a dedicated BMW tuner. The firm then proceeded to build such iconic BMW modifications as the Hartge H50 E46 M3, Hartge H50 V10 and Hartge X5 Hunter 30d, each considered a true masterpiece. Sadly, financial difficulties ultimately forced to the business to close.

Well, now it looks as though the legendary tuner lives again! Herbert Hartge’s son Hendrick has resurrected his father’s business under the name Rolfhartge GmbH. The tuner will mostly specialize in Mercedes/Maybach from now on.

It should be noted that the company has been officially registered in Germany as a car manufacturer, which enables it to build street-legal total conversions of Mercedes vehicles.

The Rolfhartge GmbH already has some options for the GLE, GLE Coupe, GLS, S-Class and Maybach X222 in stock. Highlights include ultra-light Rolfhartge ONE 21” forged wheels, exclusive radiator grilles, a new sporty diffuser add-on and Shark Gill air intakes for the front apron.
