Meet Acura’s cheapest SUV, the ADX

The mid-size crossover is the premium marque’s most affordable offering on the U.S. market. It is based on a Honda HR-V chassis and a 1.5-liter engine. Prices will start from around $30,000 when sales begin in early 2025.

The crossover is sized 4,719 mm (184.4 inches) long, 1,842 mm (72 in) wide and 1,621 mm (63.4 in) tall with 2,654 mm (103.7 in) between the axles. It looks a bit like a downsized RDX or MDX with Acura’s signature DRLs and bezel-free radiator grille.

The 1.5-liter engine is a turbo four-pot linked to an infinitely variable transmission. Acura doesn’t mention the output, but rumors suggest it should be within the range of 190–200 horsepower. Buyers can choose between RWD and AWD and opt for 19-inch wheels if 18 isn’t enough.

In its most basic implementation, the Acura ADX offers a 10.2-inch digital dashboard, a 9-inch infotainment display, a 15W wireless phone charger, an eight-channel audio system and a power tailgate. The infotainment system supports Google Services straight out of the box, and some active safety assists are included in the base trim as well.

Premium options include a 15-speaker Bang&Olufsen audio setup, ventilated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, surround-view cameras, a panoramic roof, and more.
