Fiat Grande Panda AWD confirmed
The recently unveiled Fiat Grande Panda hatchback will get an all-wheel-drive variant later on, the company says. It is already in development.
Technical details are scarce at the moment. We suppose Fiat will put a dedicated electric motor on the rear axle to drive it, like Stellantis did on the Alfa Romeo Junior Q4 and the Jeep Avenger 4xe based on the same platform. Historically, every Panda hatchback generation had a 4x4 version available. The first generation came out in 1983, and the production ended in 2022.
As to when the AWD Gran Panda may arrive, Fiat says next year sounds realistic.
