According to the latest press statement of UAZ, Czech automaker MW Motors will be launching production of two innovative EVs based on the classical Russian SUV Hunter (shown here) before the end of the year.
The battery car will be called Spartan and will look identical to its Russian cousin while packing completely different tech. The company claims it has already designed a powerful motor that is currently in its testing phase, and will be shipping the model in a variety of battery sizes (from 56 to 90 kWh). It stresses that the powertrain will ensure ‘reliable dynamic performance and long range.’
The Spartan will be marketed towards farmers, as well as those employed in foresting and mining industries where heavy off-road conditions are everyday reality.
