Return of the Retro Racer: Glickenhaus works on a car styled after Ferrari classics

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, a coachbuilder company owned by director and entrepreneur James Glickenhaus, has posted first teaser pics of its future release, a retro sport car styled after the legendary Ferrari 250.

SCG said the design team was already working on the vehicle, but refused to name a premiere date.

The vintage vehicle is going to be called “SCG 006 Glickenhaus Spyder”. It will stand apart from all other members of the family in terms of exterior design. Its performance isn’t being discussed so far, but industry professionals suggest it would be inferior to the 660 hp / 492 kW of the SCG 004S driven by a 5.0L turbocharged engine. The abovementioned power unit can work in conjunction with either manual or automatic transmission, the latter coming with a paddle shifter.

Apart from the 004S series, Glickenhaus also offers a SUV model, which is called SCG 005 and features 395 millimeters (16”) of road clearance.
