SF Motors, an automotive enterprise controlled by the Chinese Sokon Group, has announced two new crossovers/SUVs to be assembled in the United States at the facilities where Hummer used to produce its ‘civil’ vehicle lineup.
The cars premiered at a special introduction event in California under the model names of SF5 and SF7. Both benefit from a dedicated new platform which supports the installation of between two and four electric engines. Their individual performance data is not being discussed at the moment, but it is being revealed that both cars should have around 1,073 hp (800 kW) under their disposal. They will also be able to travel up to 500 kilometers (310 miles) prior to discharge.
The SF5 should enter the US retail market next year. Prices will be disclosed at a later date.
