DSD Design & Motorsport unveils brutal-looking hi-end SUV called Golem

The Spanish coachbuilder DSD Design & Motorsport has demonstrated a hardcore SUV concept named Golem. 30 copies of the vehicle will be produced.

The model was designed by the students of the Polytechnic University of Valencia as part of the graduation thesis project. The production will begin in December, and the first vehicles will roll to their respective owners in early 2019.

The Golem is 5,300 mm long, 2,050 mm wide and 1,700 mm tall. The company plans to make it available in several body types, including the pickup truck. The vehicle will feature removable doors and ship with optional AWD. Some of its body parts will be manufactured using special resin-based compounds, although no further details are being provided as to what this may mean in practical terms.

The Spain-based DSD Design & Motorsport became worldwide famous when it came forth with the hybrid-powered Boreas hypercar concept. No technical specifications were given during the premiere, but the visitors were still greatly impressed by its radical design. The Boreas will be introduced in greater detail on July 12 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
