A lightning-fast drag race has recently been held between the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, the performance-laden BMW M5 and the extreme Mercedes-AMG E 63 S. Watch the video to see how it went.
The Panamera was the strongest of all three, packing a hybrid drivetrain rated at nearly 700 hp (522 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb·ft) of torque. The vehicle accelerated 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.4 seconds.
The BMW M came equipped with a 4.4-liter V8 turbocharged engine with 600 hp (447 kW) at its disposal. Just like Porsche, it accelerated to the same speed in 3.4s.
Finally, the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S had a 4.0-liter V8 engine capable of 612 hp (456 kW) under its command. Like the above two, it reached 100 km/h in 3.4s.
Want to know the outcome? Even though the vehicles had what could be called equal acceleration performance, the Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid came out the winner.
