Off-road tires, V10 in the middle: Reiter unveils Xymera

Car company Reiter Engineering has released a teaser video telling us more about the upcoming Xymera supercar series.

As it turns out, the car gets a V10 in a mid-engine layout (likely sourced from Audi), push-rod-based suspension, and a set of grippy off-road tires.

On the outside, the new Reiter Xymera looks much like the KTM X-Bow. The latter weighs in at around 1,000 kilograms (2,200 lb) and packs a 360-hp (270-kW) Audi engine linked to a sequential transmission. The likeness actually isn’t coincidental, given that Reiter Engineering has been building racecars with the X-Bow as basis for a while.

Tech specs of the upcoming Reiter Xymera are being kept secret so far. Rumor has it it might end up with an engine capable of 620 hp (462 kW) or even more, enabling it to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in barely more than three seconds.
