Rezvani’s next-gen ‘Tank’ SUV to get EMP protection

California-based carmaker Rezvani has published the first teaser images of the next generation of its extreme SUV called Tank. The Tank will go on sale this summer, and pre-orders are already available for everyone willing to make a 2,500 USD deposit.

According to the company, the new vehicle shares nothing in common with its predecessor. It sports a body-on-frame design and rides on Fox off-road shocks this time around.

Powering the massive SUV is a purpose-built V8 monster engine with 6.2 liters of displacement room and a mechanical supercharger combining their efforts for 1,000+ horsepower (745+ kilowatts). The tuner says is uses the Dodge Demon engine as a starting point, but the latter only produces 850 hp (627 kW) on the muscle car.

Among other things, the Tank comes with grippy all-terrain tires for navigating extreme off-road, as well as a military-grade EMP shielding solution protecting all of its electronic systems from disruptive electromagnetic discharges.

Last year, the same firm unveiled a ‘combat-ready’ version of the Tank that cost 290,000 USD and featured armor padding, blindingly bright headlights, a night vision system, a smoke screen generator, gas masks, alarm sirens, and a first aid kit.
