As we also reported earlier, today, on February 20, Tesla started serial production of the cheapest Model 3 electrocar. Assembly of the model takes place at the plant in the state of California. The electric car will go on sale in July.
The company told that the first batch of cars will contain 300 000 copies, and their price, as expected, will constitute 35 thousand dollars (according to the current exchange rate - 2.05 million rubles). Sales of a new electrocar won't be limited by the markets of the United States and will be deployed worldwide. Representatives of Tesla also specified, that the dealers will get two versions of the novelty, that will differ in their power-reserve (340 and 480 kilometers).
Tesla Model 3 was presented in April, 2016. The electric car is capable to accelerate to 100 km/h almost in 6 seconds.
