The guys over at CarWow felt like finding out which compact car was the fastest and most agile of them all. So they arranged a drag race among the three most popular specimens: an all-electric Tesla Model 3 Performance, a BMW M3 sedan/saloon, and an Audi RS4 Avant estate/wagon.
Elon Musk’s sports car weighs in at 1,847 kilograms (~4,070 lbs) and packs a drivetrain rated at 473 horsepower (353 kW) along with 639 Nm (471 pound-feet) of torque.
The Bavarian premium sedan comes rear-wheel-driven by a 3.0-liter straight-six mill capable of 425 hp (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb×ft) of torque. It weighs 1,647 kilos (3,631 lbs).
The Audi RS4 Avant comes powered by a 2.9-liter turbo-six engine sending around 445 hp (332 kW) along with 600 Nm (443 lb×ft) of torque to all four wheels. It weighs 1,790 kg (3,946 lbs).
What do you think? Can Tesla’s electric motor duo best the turbocharged power of the German sports cars? There is only one way to find out, and that is by watching the video!
